In 1919 the Kereone Rugby club was formed to help enlisted men and local farmers to keep fit. 100 years on the club is still bringing the community together. Being a local Morrinsville lad myself, I found it a great project to work on.
It was a pleasure to work with the Kereone Club and the book's sub committee of Nigel Leeson, Jack Pickett and Dennis Scott. The book produced will help preserve the club's history and allow future generations to truly appreciate the sporting strengths of this rural community.
